The traits that underpin our business - Strength, Trust, Wisdom and Family are all symbolized in our name ALIYA which is the Sinhalese word for Elephant. Whilst this is a nod to Sanjay’s heritage it is the four values that the elephant is known for that uphold all our interactions and advice to our clients.
Who we are
It’s our advice but it’s your decision.
We partner with you to identify any risks and gaps you may have for when things go wrong.
We work with you to provide a plan so you can maintain the lifestyle you want in the event of a life-changing health issue.
With over 25 years of industry experience and wide working relationships with insurers and industry specialists, you can be confident in our ability to understand your needs.
If you were to die earlier than you would expect, what would be the financial impact on those you leave behind?
Life Insurance is designed to pay either a tax-free lump sum or a monthly benefit that your loved ones can use to clear debt or replace the income that you were bringing into the family to enable them to get on with living life without financial burdens.
Most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer, heart disease or a stroke, so protecting you against the financial implications of these is our priority. A lump sum of money on the diagnoses of one of up to 60 serious medical conditions allows for choices when it comes to treatment and the kind of recovery that you want to have without the financial burden.
Your ability to earn an income is your most important asset. When this is interrupted or permanently stopped due to ill health or an accident your lifestyle may be seriously affected. Income and Mortgage covers are designed to pay you a monthly sum to replace your income.
There are many different types of cover, and we work with you to tailor this to suit your unique set of circumstances.
If a health event like a stroke or an accident causes a disability that prevents you from returning to work permanently the financial effects could be catastrophic. Total and Permanent Disability Cover provides either a lump sum or a monthly benefit that allows you to pay off any debt and provide for things such as nursing care or housing modifications.
The New Zealand waiting list to see a specialist or receive medical treatment can be long and private treatment is expensive.
Health insurance pays all or some of your medical bills if you are treated privately. It allows you to choose the level of care you receive, and how and when it is provided. There are a wide range of covers available and we will help you choose the right one for you.
Key Person Cover
If you or a key person in your business could not work for an extended period due to an illness or accident, what are the financial and other impacts?
Key Person covers are designed to provide the business with either a replacement income or to pay for replacement labour. The benefit is paid as a non-taxable monthly benefit and can be used by the business to assist with business continuity.
Sometimes instead of protecting the incoming revenue of the business, it is the monthly expenses and outgoings that need to be covered if the covered person can’t work due to an illness or accident. These expenses can pay for the likes of rent and utilities, non-income generating employees and even a locum.
Farm and Rural Covers
What would happen to your stock or crops if you couldn’t work for any extended period due to an illness or accident? Having a plan and the ability to fund replacement labour if you or one of your key staff is off work means that your business can continue without major financial disruption.
